Islam >>REVEALED BOOKS

Q 1: What does the revealed book mean?
A. Revealed book means that book which Allah Almighty has sent down for the guidance of mankind so that they may know Allah and His Messengers and carry out their commands.
Q 2: How many books has Allah Almighty sent down?
A. Allah has sent down books and Sahifa pi: Suhuf (little books) to many Prophets, the exact number of which is only known to Allah and His Beloved Prophet. Of all these heavenly books four are very prominent i.e. Torah which was revealed to Prophet Moses, Zabur (the original Psalms) to Prophet David, Bible (new Testament) to Prophet Jesus and the last one which is the highest and best is the Glorious Qur-aan which Allah Almighty has gifted to His Darling Elect Hadrat Muhammad (may Allah's choicest blessings & peace be upon him).
Q 3: Are the revealed books, besides Holy Qur-aan, still available with original texts?
A. No other heavenly books than the Qur-aan are available with the original texts because the mischievous elements in the nations of the past Prophets distorted and interpolated the original Torah, Zabur and Bible at their sweet will to gain their nefarious ends.
Q 4: How should we believe in the present Bibles (old and new testaments)?
A. We should testify only that text or portion of the bibles which conform to the teachings of the Glorious Qur-aan and disapprove of that which is (are) inimical to the Holy Qur-aan believing that this "interpolation" is the work of the mischievous elements who claim to be the followers of the said books.
Q 5: What about that if nothing conforming or unconforming to the Holy Qur-aan is found therein?
A. In such situation we shall neither approve nor disapprove but shall say "Aamantu Bil-Laahi wa Malaaa-ikatehee wa Kutubehee wa Rusulehee" (I believed in Allah, His angels, His books and His Messengers).
Q 6: Can the Holy Qur-aan be interpolated?
A. No, absolutely not. Since Islaam is ever-living and ever-lasting religion, Allah Almighty has taken up the responsibility of its protection Himself. It is free from being interpolated even if all its enemies strive jointly to do mischief to it.
Q 7: What about that man who believes that addition or omission can be made in the Qur-aan?
A. He who says that even a single letter, has been added to or omitted from or replaced in the Holy Qur-aan, remains no more in Islaamic fold and is, ipso facto, disbeliever.
Q 8: What is Sahifa?
A. Sahifa pl:Suhuf are little books or leaves which Allah Almighty sent down, before the Holy Qur-aan, for the guidance of humanity at large. These Suhuf contained good tidings, admonitions and guidelines to regulate life.
Q 9: How many Suhuf were sent down and to which Prophets given?
A. The exact number of Suhuf is known to Allah and His Choicest Prophet only, but what we know is that some Suhuf were revealed to Prophet Adam, some to his son Prophet Shit, some to Prophet Abraham, some to Prophet Idris and some Suhuf were also revealed to Prophet Moses.
Q 10: Is there any book like that of the Holy Qur-aan?
A. No, absolutely not. The Glorious Qur-aan is an unparalleled book which was endowed to the unparalleled Prophet Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (may Allah's choicest blessings & peace be upon him) whose title was "Ummi" (unlettered). This "truthful" (the Holy Prophet) challenged the Arab nation that was stubbornly proud of their eloquence, magniloquence and rhetorics in poetry and oratory to bring or produce ten chapters and even a single chapter like it, but all proud and arrogant ones were stupefied. If they were capable of producing a thing like it they would have definitely done that and not faced abject disgrace of the proclamation that they and their false gods would be consigned to hell. The Holy Qur-aan is the ever-living and ever-challenging miracle of the Last Prophet of Allah.
Q 11: Is there any revealed book with Hindus?
A. No, Hindus have no heavenly book. "Veid" (Hindu scripture) which they claim to be a revealed book is not "Kalaam Allah" but a collection of poems of the ancient Hindu poets.

No women crew on Saudi Arabian Airlines

The year 2006 remained quite eventful for the Saudi women with women emancipation gaining momentum with the help of the liberal King Abdullah. Lot of talks were going on among the higher authority regarding creating more job opportunities for the Saudi women. The media was abuzz with the Saudi Arabian Airlines decision to recruit more female staff and replace the non-Saudi crew. However, the idea now faces a setback, because according to a statement made by Khaled Al Mulhim, the Saudi director general, no women will be appointed either in the airport or as flight attendants in the airlines. First Saudi women architect gets license to kick start her engineering firm

Women in Saudi Arabia, off late, are creating a niche amidst the watchdogs, and trying their hands in different fields and have largely met with success in their endeavor. In the kingdom of Riyadh, Azah Al-Deghather has revolutionized the Engineering Industry by becoming the first Saudi woman architect, who has obtained her license for opening up an engineering firm on her own. Azah got the approval from the Saudi Engineering Association to launch her private firm and this has paved the way for the rest of her fellow sisters who are qualified as an architect and waiting for their chance. According to Adel Al-Moselli, who is the current head of Professional Affairs at the Association said, there are two women who have applied for the license, and in the coming days, he is expecting more numbers. Saudi women architects are as professional and competent as their male counterpart is and the Business Community of Saudi Arabia has full confidence in the women professionals as well. Via: ZAWYA

Muslim woman locked up for three years for opposing husdand’s second marriage

Men in Islam are allowed to have more than one wife and this is prevalent not only in the Middle East countries but in India too – the land of Democracy. Paradoxically, despite the constitution of India bestowing the citizen to assert their right to freedom, women in the Muslim community still suffers from the biased laws of the Islamic religion. A recent case of a Muslim woman locked up in a room without any ventilation and toilet for long three years, should open up the eyes of the Indian government and it’s so called political leaders who are busy making big-time speech but no action at all. In a suburb area of Hyderabad, a man confined his wife in a room for three years and made her drink her own urine because she refused to grant him permission from getting married to another woman. The criminal in question is Mohammed Shadulla, who works as a foreman construction. He tied his wife Asha Begum in chain, forced her into a dark room, and ultimately carried on his wishes. However, by luck, one day he forgot to close the door and Asha escaped. The police have arrested the culprit. The point here is that the religious leaders instead of preaching should at least for once get into their senses and see what the cultural practices are doing to the Muslim women community. Via: IOL

La Femme Beach: The new sun bathing spot for veiled Egyptian women

There are hardly any recreation centers that the women in Islam can visit, so that they can unwind themselves and let their hair down for a few hours of fun and relaxation. However, to cater to the ever-growing demand of the women customers in Egypt, Walid Moustafa, one of the emerging entrepreneurs took the opportunity to unleash a new source of fun activity for the Egyptian women. In the year 2004, Moustafa launched his first venture by kicking off his much-speculated project of the first exclusive women beach, Yashmak and two others as well. They were an instant hit. La Femme Beach is another beach that he meticulously planned after the first venture. Now, it is La Femme, which is gaining huge popularity. Spread across the northern coast of Egypt, this beach is equipped with everything from bright women staff, stunning belly dancers, DJ’s, chef, and the cautious watchdogs, the women bouncers who stay guarded at the entry gate, so that no men can sneak in. The women get in all dressed in long sleeves and ankle-length designer skirts, but once they are inside the private space, they throw off their Hijab, and puts on sexy two piece dresses, I mean to say the colorful bikinis and dive to the beach. The beach is surrounded with beautiful women who swing their body to the sensuous Arabic beats that rocks the vicinity. With the changing pace of time, the young and wealthy generation of the hip-hop Egyptian women is realizing that it is time for them to indulge in some sports and where else but…LA FEMME BEACH. Dr. Kotb candidly talks about the issues related to sex

Dr. Heba Kotb is a conservative Muslim, who has crossed the bounds of the chauvinistic Muslim society in her famous soap opera, Big Talk, where she candidly talks about the issues related to sex. Though its just been two months but the show on the independent Egyptian satellite channel El-Mehwar is really rocking the region. And out of the ordinary part is that she discusses about the matter in society where it has been forbidden by the community. However, she talks about sex in an Islamic light, postulating that the faith is in favor of pleasure for both men and women provided they are connubial. In an interview at Cairo University, Dr. Kotb said, ‘I’m very proud of my religion. My studies revealed to me more and more how Islam was ahead in all sexual matters . . . I discovered that Islam understood sex long before the rest of the world’. Her outspokenness is really hitting the streets of a community where male and female interaction is discouraged and where perpetual myths are allowed to cultivate profusely. Dr. Kotb, 39 and married with 3 daughters, she studied sexology with Maimonides University, a private school in Florida, and combined it with her own knowledge of her religion to produce a thesis on Sexuality in Islam. During her discussions, she lays down the biological facts regarding sexual positions, female orgasm, oral sex even masturbation (frowned upon but at least preferable to unmarried or adulterous sex, which is haram, meaning banned by religion). However, she personifies homosexuality as a disease. Disapproval among people: Some of the people are not in favor of Heba’s chat show. Somia, a housewife, says, ‘So now girls and boys have heard all about Heba’s talk about sex . . . that will let them know more than they should and will get them excited’. Mona Helmi, a feminist writer asserts, ‘After Islamic banks, Islamic fashion, Islamic TV channels, Islamic hairdressers, Islamic swimsuits, Islamic writers — now Islamic sex? This is too much’. Dr. Kotb rebuts the statements by saying that 80% divorce cases in the Arab world is due to sexual problems, which is the outcome of ignorance. Thus, the problem could only be averted by the power of knowledge. Image Read

Fertility rate of Muslim women in Israel going down

According to a recent analysis made by the Central Statistics Bureau data, in the year 2005 the fertility rate in Israel witnessed a significant fall. The data report states that the number of newborn babies was 143,913 in 2005, out of which nearly 70% were born to Jewish women and only a handful of 24% were that of Muslim women. Another important fact is that the overall figure of newborns dropped dramatically and this was due to the fertility ratio of the Muslim women, who were giving birth to fewer babies. Via: YNETNEWS

Chic clothing lines for American Muslim Women

Finding stylish yet decent garments for Muslim women in US is indeed a challenging job. They don’t have much of a choice in the clothing department. If they go for body-hugging and little bit revealing designs, that will be a religious fiasco, so most of the times they prefer to stay covered. Brooke Samad, the 27-year-old lass wishes to fill the wardrobe of the Muslim women with some chic apparel that she has created at her magical working place at Atlantic Highlands. Having graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology, 2004 batch, she thought that it is time indeed to make her world simple and stylish. A creative desire to do something great was driving her mad and then she came up with the idea of her exclusive clothing line to cater to the needs of Muslim women like her. Afgani Women in jeopardy even after Taliban’s demise

The statements of an international women’s rights group seem true; the condition of Afghani women is not satisfactory even after the fall of Taliban. In 2001 when Taliban trembled, the women were hoping of an independent and pleasant life, but it is still a dream for them. The Afghani women is still hiding their terror filled eyes behind veil, there is not much change in there lives. For them Taliban is still there in the form of discrimination, violence and harassment. The reports clear that laws are only on the papers, but in real life there rights does not mean anything for them. Still the Afghani women are not safe, there is no feeling of safety, self respect and dignity, therefore the issue like political rights and equality are too far. Since two years, the graph of self-immolation and suicides had increased. Child marriages are common amongst them. About 60% of girls are forced to get married before the legal age of 16. In Afghanistan’s assembly, women are in number, though they have to face harassment even in parliament. The originations or individual standing to safeguard the rights of women are not even safe. To overcome the critical condition of Afghani women, the basic changes have to be made, the stiffness have to be provided, especially in the field of education. Secondly, the extremists should not be allowed to harass woman on the basis of Islam. The rights mentioned by the Constitution of Afghanistan should be applied. It is definite that, there should be change in society; otherwise it is difficult to upgrade the condition of women. The religious leaders have to understand the real meaning of Islam. They should try to understand that Islam teaches mercy and forgiveness and not violence. Via: BBC

Ruth Kelly on Muslim women with Hijab

Just a few days back, a survey was made among the ethnic minorities in UK, which states that the Muslim women from Pakistan and Bangladesh are suffering from job discrimination because of their religious attire. A lot of outcry was heard from many outgoing young Muslim women who feel quite differently. However, coming back to the issue on the recent report published by Minister for Women Ruth Kelly, she says that ‘Women in Hijab’ should get more job opportunities in the front-line media irrespective of their headscarves. Now what pointed Mrs. Kelly to point this thing? Well, as everyone knows, according to survey, employment rate among ethnic minorities from Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin is just about 24% and this precisely had pushed the minister to come up with refreshing idea to help the Muslim women. No dating, call it ‘matrimonial banquet’ says American Muslims

You and me will definitely tag it as ‘speed dating’ when a boy and girl meet up for a seven minute chit-chat, but for the growing American Muslim community, they prefer to label it in a more respectable term called ‘Matrimonial Banquet’. This particular term came up at the recently organized Muslim conference in North America. With the offshoot of an emerging trend among the Muslim community in America, more and more boys and girls are getting to know each other through a short session meeting called as the speed dating. However, the elders give it a more dignified term. Several seminars were held in this occasion. Primarily one of them titled ‘Dating’ had the crowd rocking in their chairs when the Imam said this: Don’t talk to the Muslim girls, ever, but you are going to marry them. As for the non- Muslim girls, talk to them, but don’t ever bring one home. There were many other brainstorming discussion that were highlighted during the seminar, mainly the problem of young generation of Muslim boys and girls who are trying to get assimilated along with the American way of life.
(75. Allah chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.)
 (76. He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters.)
Surah 22 Al Hajj Verse 75-76
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah tells us that He chooses Messengers from His angels as He wills by His law and decree, and He chooses Messengers from mankind to convey His Message.
(Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Seer.) means, He hears all that His servants say, and He sees them and knows who among them is deserving of that, as He says:
(Allah knows best with whom to place His Message) [6:124]
(He knows what is before them, and what is behind them. And to Allah return all matters.) He knows what will happen to His Messengers and the Message He sent them with, for none of their affairs are hidden from Him. He says:
(“The All-Knower of the Ghayb (Unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb.”)[72:26] until His saying;
(and He keeps count of all things.) [72:28] So He, may He be glorified, is guarding them, and is Witness to what is said about them. He is protecting them and supporting them.
(O Messenger! Proclaim which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind) [5:67].

The noblest of messengers

I take refuge with Allaah from the accursed devil.

May the Peace and Blessing of Allah Azza wa Jal, our Lord Glorified and Praised be He, be upon our beloved  Prophet, his Family, and Companions.
The noblest of messengers.
(77. O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.)
(78. And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibrahim. He has named you Muslims both before and in this (Qur’an), that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So, perform the Salah, give the Zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your Mawla, what an Excellent Mawla and what an Excellent Helper!)
Surah 22 Al Hajj Verse 77-78
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
It was reported from `Uqbah bin `Amir that the Prophet said:
(Surat Al-Hajj has been blessed with two Sajdahs, so whoever does not prostrate them should not read them.)
(And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive.) means, with your wealth and your tongues and your bodies. This is like the Ayah:
(Have Taqwa of Allah as is His due.) [3:102]
(He has chosen you,) means, `O Ummah [of Islam], Allah has selected you and chosen you over all other nations, and has favored you and blessed you and honored you with the noblest of Messengers and the noblest of Laws.’
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) He has not given you more than you can bear and He has not obliged you to do anything that will cause you difficulty except that He has created for you a way out. So the Salah, which is the most important pillar of Islam after the two testimonies of faith, is obligatory, four Rak`ahs when one is settled, which are shortened to two Rak`ah when one is traveling. According to some Imams, only one Rak`ahs is obligatory at times of fear, as was recorded in the Hadith. A person may pray while walking or riding, facing the Qiblah or otherwise. When praying optional prayers while traveling, one may face the Qiblah or not. A person is not obliged to stand during the prayer if he is sick; the sick person may pray sitting down, and if he is not able to do that then he may pray lying on his side. And there are other exemptions and dispensations which may apply to the obligatory prayers and other duties. So the Prophet said:
(I have been sent with the easy Hanifi way.) And he said to Mu`adh and Abu Musa, when he sent them as governors to Yemen:
(Give good news and do not repel them. Make things easy for the people and do not make the things difficult for them.) And there are many similar Hadiths. Ibn `Abbas said concerning the Ayah,
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship), “This means difficulty.”
(It is the religion of your father Ibrahim. ) Ibn Jarir said, “This refers back to the Ayah,
(and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) meaning, any difficulty.” On the contrary, He has made it easy for you, like the religion of your father Ibrahim. He said, “It may be that it means: adhere to the religion of your father Ibrahim.” I say: This interpretation of the Ayah is like the Ayah:
(Say: “Truly, my Lord has guided me to a straight path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim, a Hanif) [6:161]
(He has named you Muslims both before and in this (Qur’an),) Imam `Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said, narrating from Ibn Jurayj, from `Ata’, from Ibn `Abbas: concerning Allah’s saying,
(He has named you Muslims before) “This refers to Allah, may He be glorified.” This was also the view of Mujahid, `Ata’, Ad-Dahhak, As-Suddi, Muqatil bin Hayyan and Qatadah. Mujahid said, “Allah named you Muslims before, in the previous Books and in Adh-Dhikr,
(and in this) means, the Qur’an.” This was also the view of others, because Allah says:
(He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship) Then He urged them to follow the Message which His Messenger brought, by reminding them that this was the religion of their father Ibrahim. Then He mentioned His blessings to this Ummah, whereby He mentioned them and praised them long ago in the Books of the Prophets which were recited to the rabbis and monks. Allah says:
(He has named you Muslims both before) meaning, before the Qur’an,
(and in this.) Under the explanation of this Ayah, An-Nasa’i recorded from Al-Harith Al-Ash`ari from the Messenger of Allah , who said:
(Whoever adopts the call of Jahiliyyah, will be one of those who will crawl on their knees in Hell.) A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, even if he fasts and performs Salah” He said,
(Yes, even if he fasts and performs Salah. So adopt the call of Allah whereby He called you Muslims and believers and servants of Allah.)
(that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind!) means, `thus We have made you a just and fair nation, the best of nations, and all other nations will testify to your justice. On the Day of Resurrection you will be,
(witnesses over mankind),’ because on that Day all the nations will acknowledge its leadership and its precedence over all others. Therefore, on the Day of Resurrection the testimony of the members of this community will be accepted as proof that the Messengers conveyed the Message of their Lord to them, and the Messenger will testify that he conveyed the Message to them.
(So perform the Salah, give Zakah) means, respond to this great blessing with gratitude by fulfilling your duties towards Allah, doing that which He has enjoined upon you and avoiding that which He had forbidden. Among the most important duties are establishing regular prayer and giving Zakah. Zakah is a form of beneficence towards Allah’s creatures, whereby He has enjoined upon the rich to give a little of their wealth to the poor each year, to help the weak and needy. We have already mentioned its explanation in the Ayah of Zakah in Surat At-Tawbah (9:5).
(and hold fast to Allah.) means, seek the help and support of Allah and put your trust in Him, and get strength from Him.
(He is your Mawla,) meaning, He is your Protector and your Helper, He is the One Who will cause you to prevail against your enemies.
(what an Excellent Mawla and what an Excellent Helper!) He is the best Mawla and the best Helper against your enemies.
This is the end of the Tafsir of Surat Al-Hajj. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and Companions, and grant them peace; may Allah honor and be pleased with the Companions and those who follow them in truth until the Day of Resurrection.

Allah, Owner of Bounty and Generous, commands mankind to believe and spend in his cause

I take refuge with Allaah from the accursed devil.
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem: In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Welcome to my blog and praise the Magnificent Lord as you enter: Allahu Akbar: Allah is the Greatest .
May the Peace and Blessing of Allah Azza wa Jal, our Lord Glorified and Praised be He, be upon our beloved  Prophet, his Family, and Companions.
Allah, Owner of Bounty and Generous, commands mankind to believe and spend in his cause.
(7. Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend, theirs will be a great reward.)
 (8. And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allah! While the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord; and He has indeed taken your covenant, if you are real believers.)
(9. It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat to His servant that He may bring you out from darkness into light. And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.)
Surah 57 Al Hadid Verse 7-9
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah the Exalted and Blessed orders having perfect faith in Him and in His Messenger, and that one should persist on this path adhereing firmly to it. Allah encourages spending from what He has made mankind trustees of, the wealth that you – mankind – have, that He has lent you. This wealth was in the hands of those before you and was later transferred to you. Therefore, O mankind, spend as Allah commanded you from the wealth that He entrusted to you for His obedience. Otherwise, He will hold you accountable and punish you for your ignoring what He ordained on you in this regard. Allah’s statement,
(of that whereof He has made you trustees.), indicates that you – mankind — will surrender this wealth to someone else. In this case, those who will inherit from you might obey Allah with their wealth, and thus acquire more happiness than you on account of what Allah has granted them. They might disobey Allah, and in this case you will have helped them commit evil and transgression. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir said, “I came to Allah’s Messenger as he was reciting and saying,
((abundance diverts you.)( The Son of `Adam claims, “My wealth, my wealth.” But is there anything belonging to you, except that which you consumed, which you used, or which you wore and then it became worn or you gave as charity and sent it forward) Muslim also collected with the addition:
(Other than that, you will go away from it and leave it behind for other people.) Allah’s statement,
(And such of you as believe and spend, theirs will be a great reward.) encourages having faith and spending in acts of obedience. Allah the Exalted said,
(And what is the matter with you that you believe not in Allah! While the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord;) meaning, “what prevents you from believing, while the Messenger is among you calling you to faith and bringing forward clear proofs and evidences that affirm the truth of what he brought you” And we have reported the Hadith through different routes in the beginning of the explanation on the chapter on Faith in Sahih Al-Bukhari, wherein one day the Messenger of Allah said to his Companions,
(Who do you consider among the believers as having the most amazing faith) They said, “The angels.” He said,
(And what prevents them from believing when they are with their Lord) They said, “Then the Prophets.” He said,
(What prevents them from believing when the revelation comes down to them) They said, “Then us.” He said,
(What prevents you from believing, when I am amongst you Actually, the believers who have the most amazing faith, are some people who will come after you; they will find pages that they will believe in.) We mentioned a part of this Hadith when explaining Allah’s statement in Surat Al-Baqarah,
(who believe in the Ghayb (unseen).)(2:3) Allah’s statement,
(and He has indeed taken your covenant,) is similar to another of His statements,
(And remember Allah’s favor to you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said: “We hear and we obey.”)(5:7), which refers to giving the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet . Ibn Jarir said that the covenant mentioned here, is that taken from mankind, when they were still in Adam’s loin. This is also the opinion of Mujahid, and Allah knows best. Allah said,
(It is He Who sends down manifest Ayat to His servant) clear proofs, unequivocal evidences and plain attestations,
(that He may bring you out from darkness into light.) from the darkness of ignorance, disbelief and contradictory statements to the light of guidance, certainty and faith,
(And verily, Allah is to you full of kindness, Most Merciful.) by revealing the Divine Books and sending the Messengers to guide mankind, eradicating doubts and removing confusion. After Allah commanded mankind to first believe and spend, He again encouraged them to acquire faith and stated that He has removed all barriers between them and the acquisition of faith. Allah again encouraged them to spend,
(And what is the matter with you that you spend not in the cause of Allah And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth.) means, spend and do not fear poverty or scarcity. Surely, He in Whose cause you spent is the King and Owner of the heavens and earth and has perfect control over their every affair, including their treasuries. He is the Owner of the Throne, with all the might that it contains, and He is the One Who said,
(And whatsoever you spend of anything, He will replace it. And He is the best of providers.)(34:39), and,
(whatever is with you, will be exhausted, and whatever is with Allah will remain.)(16:96) Therefore, those who trust in and depend on Allah will spend, and they will not fear poverty or destitution coming to them from the Owner of the Throne. They know that Allah will surely compensate them for whatever they spend.

Islam is the religion of all Prophets, peace be upon them.
(161. Say: “Truly, my Lord has guided me to a straight path, a right religion, the religion of Ibrahim, Hanifan (monotheism) and he was not of the Mushrikin.”)
(162. Say: “Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.”)
(163. “He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.”)
Surah 6 Al Anaam Verse 161-163
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah commands His Prophet , the chief of the Messengers, to convey the news of being guided to Allah’s straight path. This path is neither wicked, nor deviant,
(a right religion…) that is, established on firm grounds,
(The religion of Ibrahim, Hanifan and he was not of the Mushrikin.) Allah said in similar Ayat,
(And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim except him who deludes himself) [2:130], and,
(And strive hard in Allah’s cause as you ought to strive. He has chosen you, and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship: it is the religion of your father Ibrahim.) [22:78], and,
(Verily, Ibrahim was an Ummah (or a nation), obedient to Allah, a Hanif, and he was not one of the Mushrikin. (He was) thankful for His (Allah’s) favors. He (Allah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous. Then, We have sent the revelation to you (saying): “Follow the religion of Ibrahim, (he was a) Hanif, and he was not of the Mushrikin”) [16:120-123]. Ordering the Prophet to follow the religion of Ibrahim, the Hanifiyyah, does not mean that Prophet Ibrahim reached more perfection in it than our Prophet . Rather, our Prophet perfectly established the religion and it was completed for him; and none before him reached this level of perfection. This is why he is the Final Prophet, the chief of all the Children of Adam who holds the station of praise and glory, the honor of intercession on the Day of Resurrection. All creation (on that Day) will seek him, even Ibrahim the friend of Allah, peace be upon him [to request the beginning of Judgement]. Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, “The Messenger of Allah was asked, `Which religion is the best with Allah, the Exalted’ He said,
(Al-Hanifiyyah As-Samhah (the easy monotheism))”
Allah said next,
(Say: “Verily, my Salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the all that exists.”) Allah commands the Prophet to inform the idolators who worship other than Allah and sacrifice to something other than Him, that he opposes them in all this, for his prayer is for Allah, and his rituals are in His Name alone, without partners. Allah said in a similar statement,
(Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice.) [108:2], meaning, make your prayer and sacrifice for Allah alone. As for the idolators, they used to worship the idols and sacrifice to them, so Allah commanded the Prophet to defy them and contradict their practices. Allah, the Exalted, commanded him to dedicate his intention and heart to being sincere for Him alone. Mujahid commented,
(Verily, my prayer and my Nusuk…) refers to sacrificing during Hajj and `Umrah.
The Ayah,
(and I am the first of the Muslims.) means, from this Ummah, according to Qatadah. This is a sound meaning, because all Prophets before our Prophet were calling to Islam, which commands worshipping Allah alone without partners. Allah said in another Ayah,
(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “None has the right to be worshipped but I, so worship Me.”) [21:25] Allah informed us that Nuh said to his people,
(But if you turn away, then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims.) [10:72] Allah said,
(And who turns away from the religion of Ibrahim except him who deludes himself Truly, We chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous. When his Lord said to him, “Submit (i.e. be a Muslim)!” He said, “I have submitted myself (as a Muslim) to the Lord of the all that exists.” And this was enjoined by Ibrahim upon his sons and by Ya`qub (saying), “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except as Muslims.”)[2:130-132]. Yusuf, peace be upon him, said,
(My Lord! You have indeed bestowed on me of the sovereignty, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams — the (Only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector) in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous.) [12:101] Musa said,
(And Musa said: “O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims.” They said: “In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are wrongdoers. And save us by your mercy from the disbelieving folk”) [10:84-86] Allah said,
(Verily, We did send down the Tawrah, therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allah’s will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [did also].) [5:44], and,
(And when I (Allah) inspired Al-Hawariyyun (the disciples) [of `Isa] to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: “We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims.”) [5:111] Therefore, Allah states that He sent all His Messengers with the religion of Islam, although their respective laws differed from each other, and some of them abrogated others. Later on, the Law sent with Muhammad abrogated all previous laws and nothing will ever abrogate it, forever. Certainly, Muhammad’s Law will always be apparent and its flags raised high, until the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet said,
(We, the Prophets, are half brothers, but our religion is one.) Half brothers, mentioned in the Hadith, refers to the brothers to one father, but different mothers. Therefore, the religion, representing the one father, is one; worshipping Allah alone without partners, even though the laws which are like the different mothers in this parable, are different. Allah the Most High knows best. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Ali said that when the Messenger of Allah used to start the prayer with Takbir [saying, "Allahu Akbar'' (Allah is the Great)] he would then supplicate,
(I have directed my face towards He Who has created the heavens and earth, Hanifan and I am not among the Mushrikin. Certainly, my prayer, sacrifice, living and dying are all for Allah, Lord of the worlds.)
(O Allah! You are the King, there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have committed wrong against myself and admitted to my error, so forgive me all my sins. Verily, You, only You forgive the sins. (O Allah!) Direct me to the best conduct, for none except You directs to the best conduct. Divert me from the worst conduct, for only You divert from the worst conduct. Glorified and Exalted You are. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.) This Hadith, which was also recorded by Muslim in the Sahih, continues and mentions the Prophet’s supplication in his bowing, prostrating and final sitting positions.

(24. Or have they taken for worship gods besides Him Say: “Bring your proof. This is the Reminder for those with me and the Reminder for those before me.” But most of them know not the Truth, so they are averse.)
 (25. And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “There is no God but I, so worship Me.”)
Surah 21 Al Anbiya Verse 24-25
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
(Or have they taken for worship gods besides Him Say:) — O Muhammad –
(Bring your proof.) your evidence for what you are saying.
(This is the Reminder for those with me) means, the Qur’an.
(and the Reminder for those before me) means, the previous Books, unlike what you claim. Each Book was revealed to each Prophet who was sent with the message that there is no god except Allah, but you idolators do not recognize the truth, so you turn away from it. Allah says:
(And We did not send any Messenger before you but We revealed to him (saying): “There is no god but I. ..”) This is like the Ayat:
(And ask those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: “Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious”) [43:45]
(And verily, We have sent among every Ummah a Messenger (proclaiming): “Worship Allah, and avoid Taghut (all false deities).”) [16:36] Every Prophet who was sent by Allah called people to worship Allah Alone, with no partner or associate. The natural inclination of man (Al-Fitrah) also bears witness to that. The idolators have no proof and their dispute is of no use before their Lord; on them is wrath, and for them will be a severe torment.

Allah, Glorified and Praised, addresses the believers and the disbelievers.
(136. O you who believe! Believe in Allah, and His Messenger, and the Book (the Qur’an) which He has sent down to His Messenger, and the Scripture which He sent down to those before; and whosoever disbelieves in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, then indeed he has strayed far away.)
Surah 2 An Nisaa Verse 136
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah commands His faithful servants to adhere to all the elements of faith, its branches, pillars and cornerstones. This is not stated as mere redundancy, but from the view of completing faith and the continual maintenence of it. For instance, the believer proclaims in every prayer,
(Guide us to the straight way.) which means, make us aware of the straight path and increase us in guidance and strengthen us on it. In this Ayah [4:136], Allah commands the believers to believe in Him and in His Messenger, just as He said elsewhere,
(O you who believe! Have Taqwa of Allah, and believe in His Messenger, ). Allah’s statement,
(and the Book which He has sent down to His Messenger,) refers to the Qur’an, while,
(and the Scripture which He sent down to those before (him);) refers to the previously revealed divine Books. Allah then said,
(and whosoever disbelieves in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day, then indeed he has strayed far away.) meaning, he will have deviated from the correct guidance and strayed far away from its path.
